Alimentec | Anuga Select Colombia 2026 Opens: From Culinary Leadership to the Profitability of the Food Business

Bogotá, June 9, 2026. This Tuesday, Corferias opens its doors to launch a new edition of Alimentec | Anuga Select Colombia, the most important business and networking platform for the food, beverage, and HORECA (Hotels, Restaurants, and Cafeterias) sector in the Andean region, Central America, and the Caribbean. During this first day, technological innovation, cost control, and sustainability will set the pace for a robust academic and commercial agenda.

Each day of Alimentec | Anuga Select Colombia 2026 will feature an agenda combining knowledge, live experiences, and industry conversations through formats such as the Food Innovation Summit — beginning on the second day, dedicated to global trends and innovation; the Cooking Show and Cooking Show Origin Matters, where products come to life through technique and live cooking; the HORECA Talks and HORECA Talks Origin Matters, focused on the challenges facing the hospitality and restaurant channel; the Food Service Summit, oriented toward the evolution of food service; and Bake & Arts, dedicated to the world of bakery and pastry. Today and tomorrow will also see the Paco Torreblanca High Pastry Award, which recognizes the best chocolate cake made in Colombia by gastronomy professionals and students. National winners will advance to the international competition in Spain to compete for the title of best chocolate cake in the world. Grill enthusiasts and professionals will also have programming through the Club del Asado, which will hold activities throughout the fair. Here are today's highlights:

  • The Cooking Show, taking place in Pavilion 18 Gran Salón, will offer an agenda combining gastronomy, technology, and culinary culture. Attendees can enjoy experiences such as a reinterpretation of classic desserts with Nestlé Professional and a demonstration on artificial intelligence applied to food cost management.
  • The Cooking Show Origin Matters, held in Pavilion 6.1, will take attendees on a journey through the origin of ingredients and culinary techniques, with activities focused on fire as both a cooking technique and culinary philosophy, territory-inspired gastronomic experiences, and demonstrations on fermentation and flavor development.
  • The Food Service Summit, in the Main Auditorium, will bring together sector leaders to analyze the present and future of foodservice in Colombia, with conversations on innovation, gastronomic leadership, profitability, and shifting consumption habits. Key activities include a panel on the challenges and opportunities in Colombian foodservice, a talk by chef and entrepreneur Harry Sasson on leadership and creativity in the restaurant business, and a conference on the impact of household economics on consumer decisions.
  • The HORECA Talks, held in Pavilion 3 (Level 2), will focus on the opportunities that technology and digitalization offer for optimizing the operations of restaurants, hotels, and cafeterias. The agenda includes sessions such as "The Intelligent Revolution: Technology and Equipment to Transform Your Business" and "The Future of Coffee: How New Generations Are Driving Growth."
  • The HORECA Talks Origin Matters, taking place in Pavilion 6 Level 1, will address trends and innovations transforming the HORECA channel. Programming will cover flavor experiences and personalization, functional and purpose-driven beverages, fruit applications in cocktails and premium drinks, and natural alternatives for the food and beverage industry.
  • Bake & Arts, presented by Adepan in Pavilion 3 (Level 2), will bring together specialists in bakery, pastry, and confectionery to share knowledge on product innovation, nutrition, and consumer trends. Sessions will cover sensory evaluation, high-protein baking, industrial micro-pastry, soy flour as a value-added ingredient, the rise of New York Cookies, and commercial strategies for bakery products.

On the opening of this major platform, Doris Chingaté, Project Manager at Corferias, noted: "Opening the doors of this new edition is a reaffirmation of our commitment to the competitiveness of Colombia's food and beverage industry. Today's agenda shows that our business community is here to understand how technology and efficient management can protect and expand their operations in a highly demanding market."
